Bin Wars (a poem)

Bin Wars (C) 12/01/03 R. P. Daley

I know I must, I know I can,
I will defeat the Dustbin Man.
I’ll tell you this, I’ll make you see,
He’s my eternal enemy.
It must be true, It must be said,
He rattles bins when I’m in bed.
I might sleep less, I won’t sleep more,
He drops rubbish by my door.
So just you wait, well I’ll get him,
I’ve left a bomb inside my Bin!
Amongst the dregs, among the faeces,
Lies a Dustbin lorry blown to pieces!
